Sexual Misconduct
All members of the Alma College campus are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others. Alma College does not tolerate discrimination on the basis of sex, gender, nor sexual harassment, sexual violence, sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking or sexual exploitation.
When an allegation of sexual misconduct is brought to the attention of a college official, including faculty and staff, the Title IX Coordinator will be notified and the college will act promptly to respond to the allegation, prevent its recurrence and address its effects.
On these pages, you will find information that defines community expectations, Alma College policies, and explanations of the sexual misconduct response procedure. You will also find helpful resources, important contact information for on campus and off campus support and printable informational brochures.
Please be aware that all faculty and staff — except counseling and wellness staff, the Chaplain, and the Wilcox Medical staff — are required to file a report with the Title IX Coordinator when they become aware of an incident of sexual misconduct or discrimination. This report will prompt a query into the incident(s).
