POSITION SUMMARY:
The Political Science Department at Alma College in Alma, Michigan invites applicants for a one-year full-time Instructor/Lecturer of Political Science. This is a full time, non-tenure track position beginning Fall 2025. The standard teaching load for this position is six units throughout the academic year and may include teaching in different modalities.
The department’s desire is for an experienced faculty colleague with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. The department seeks applicants with at least a Master’s degree in comparative politics, with a preference for applicants with a background in quantitative research and teaching. Successful applicants will be able to contribute engaging topics courses in our political science major, an introductory statistics course, as well as courses in Alma’s CORE curriculum. Candidates with evidence of strong teaching in engaging pedagogies preferred.
