DEPARTMENT: Integrative Physiology and Health Science
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department of Integrative Physiology and Health Science (IPHS) at Alma College invites applications for an Instructor/Lecturer position. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track position beginning Fall 2025. This is a 2-year faculty position with possibility of renewal based on performance and college need. The standard teaching load for this position is six units throughout the academic year and may include teaching in different modalities.
The department seeks a teacher/scholar to complement existing departmental strengths. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to quality undergraduate education. Teaching responsibilities will include classroom or laboratory teaching in anatomy and physiology, with other courses such as biomechanics, exercise physiology, nutrition, pathophysiology, research methods, and other coursework assigned according to candidate interest/expertise and department need. In addition, this position provides the opportunity to actively participate in ongoing research, advising, and service activities according to candidate interest.
A Master’s degree in Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related discipline is required prior to appointment date (terminal degree desired).
