POSITION SUMMARY:
The Alma College Department of Math & Computer Science invites applications for an Instructor/Lecturer of Computer Science. This is a full time, non-tenure-track position beginning Fall 2025. The standard teaching load for this position is six units throughout the academic year and may include teaching in different modalities.
The department’s desire is for an experienced faculty colleague with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. All areas of specialization will be considered, with particular interest in areas exciting to undergraduates, i.e. Computer Security, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Web Programming and Mobile Computing.
A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely-related field is preferred. An all-but dissertation (ABD) or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely-related field may be considered. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
