ALMA — With a packed schedule of events from reunions to athletics to awards, Alma College will celebrate its annual Homecoming weekend Sept. 29-Oct. 1.

This year’s Homecoming activities will be specially marked by recognition of the late Thomas Andison, a former member of the Alma College Board of Trustees and one of the most generous donors in college history. The college will re-dedicate the Thomas Andison Chapel, formerly known as the Dunning Memorial Chapel, at a ceremony slated for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30.

Homecoming events on Friday, Sept. 29 include reunions for the Alma College classes of 1963 (60-year) and 1973 (50-year), a percussion ensemble and pipe band concert, and athletic competitions including men’s soccer and volleyball matches.

Saturday, Sept. 30, will be marked by the chapel re-dedication ceremony, as well as the Scot Trot 5K, the Homecoming parade, a choir concert, alumni awards presentation and women’s soccer and football games.

On Sunday, Oct. 1, several worship services will take place, as well as Victory Day at Bahlke Field.
