Andrus Family Field House

After a “soft opening” on Monday, Jan. 6, we’re pleased to say that students and coaches are using the field house. We have a temporary certificate of occupancy and a temporary inspection approval on all areas of the facility. We expect to have everything finalized and permanently approved before the end of the month. Mechanical, fire, plumbing and electrical work was completed over the holiday. This project was completed on time and on-budget. Stay tuned for more information as students explore the space and we prepare for a grand opening!

After about a year of work, we expect to have a certificate of occupancy before Christmas. Crews have completed drywall installation, interior door installation and plumbing. Electrical fixture installation, painting and landscaping is close to complete. Netting, which will be used by various sports, will be installed soon, as will the air handling units.

It was a special joy to see the bright green turf go in last month. This space will be used by various men’s and women’s athletic teams including lacrosse, soccer, track and field. Also completed recently was the asphalt paving of new parking areas; service drive re-paving; as well as plumbing, electrical, and low-voltage cabling.
