At Becoming a Scot Day, you’ll connect with our welcoming community of faculty, staff, and current students.

Join us for a day filled with insights, support, and camaraderie as you embark on your journey as a Scot! Explore what makes Alma College unique and get ready for a personalized experience tailored to your aspirations. This is your opportunity to prepare for a future that’s all yours at Alma College!

All incoming first-year and transfer students are required to sign up for a Becoming a Scot Day.

  • explore campus services at a resource fair
  • learn about college policies and expectations

You’ll also get a few things to take home!

To sign up, please select the in-person event date you would like to attend. After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email with more details. The program will last from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with optional program offerings until 5 p.m.

On Friday, July 12, we’ll offer special programming and networking opportunities for incoming students of color and their families. Learn about programs and services like Campbell Scholars, King-Chávez-Parks, and the Julius Chatman Living Learning Community; hear from diversity-focused student organizations; meet current students of color and ask them questions; and start building your personal network of support.

  • Check in each day runs from 9:15– 9:50 a.m.
  • Our opening program will take place in Presbyterian Hall.
  • There is ample parking available in the lots by the Heritage Center.
  • Upon arrival, you will receive a complete schedule for the day.
