Applying to Alma
If you are a first-time college student or have 24 or fewer credits from an accredited institution, you should apply to Alma as a first-year student.
To do so, you can complete the free Alma College application or apply through the Common Application.
You will be required to submit at least three years of transcripted high school coursework. Students with a 2.75 high school GPA (or higher) are automatically considered for admission without the need to submit an ACT/SAT test score through the fall of 2025.
- Transcripts should be sent to admissions@alma.edu. Official transcripts are required upon enrollment.
- Alternative admissions pathways for students with a high school grade point average of less than 2.75 continue to be available and will be addressed individually with students. Please apply to get the process started.

Although our application stays open, we encourage you to apply by March 1, 2025, to allow time for exploring all financial aid options and scholarship opportunities.
