When you earn your bachelor’s degree in Spanish, you’ll take courses that challenge you to deepen your understanding of Spanish culture and language. You’ll study grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation and become adept at communicating in formal and informal contexts.
You’ll travel, too. Our immersive Spring Term classes, service learning trips and study abroad opportunities all provide ways to expand your perspective and enhance your fluency.
With the widespread use of Spanish in the U.S., the ability to communicate in Spanish complements any discipline. Many students combine their Spanish major with a major or minor in business, communication, physics, engineering, or secondary or elementary teaching.
What You Need to Know
Proficiency in Spanish can help set you apart in the hiring landscape, increasing your income potential and marketability. Research has found that bilingual and multilingual employees can earn between 5% and 20% more than their peers.
