What You Need to Know

Pharmacists can be found in hospitals, in health care systems, in retail settings, in the pharmaceutical industry, in long-term care facilities, and in academics. Pharmacy is a flexible field with the ability to move between different positions in different arenas and different geographical areas. See what the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) has to say in their Top Ten Reasons to Become a Pharmacist.

Our recent graduates went on to obtain their doctorate in Pharmacy at:

  • Ferris State University College of Pharmacy
  • University of Michigan College of Pharmacy
  • University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy
  • The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy

Alma College has an articulation agreement with Ferris State University College of Pharmacy that reserves five seats in Ferris State’s Doctor of Pharmacy program each application cycle. You can also qualify for a seat in dual degree programs that includes a Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Health.  For more information, contact Dr. N. Dople at ndopke@alma.edu. .

The application service for pharmacy schools (PharmCAS) opens the application cycle in July of each year.
