You’ll graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Mild to Moderate Disabilities program at Alma College and walk away with three special education endorsements in one undergraduate major (learning disabilities, cognitive impairment, and emotional impairment).  

This is the first standalone program of its kind in the state of Michigan.

Working in special education requires the understanding of multiple special education areas, as you’ll be working with varying disabilities of multiple students at the same time.  

The Mild to Moderate Disabilities program is designed to give you the ability to focus your program on special education and complete the program with 144 credits in just four years. You have the option to extend your programs and add general education endorsements if you desire.   

When you graduate, you’ll be equipped to positively impact students and schools while promoting a diverse and inclusive educational environment.
